One Scottsdale will become world class community and landmark SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (July 19, 2006) Iconic architecture and haute couture will soon meet in north Scottsdale. DMB Associates, best known for creating legacy properties on extraordinary land throughout the West, has announced its design plans for One Scottsdale, a unique luxury retail, residential and lifestyle community on 120 acres northeast of Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. DMB projects include the internationally acclaimed DC Ranch and Silverleaf in north Scottsdale, two communities known as much for their environmental sensitivity as for their innovative use of architecture and design. And now, with the creation of One Scottsdale, the opportunity has arrived for DMB to assemble the world s finest retail brands within the context of an architecturally spectacular environment. DMB is redefining the concept of 21st century retailing and community building, said Drew Brown, president of DMB Associates. We ve studied the most exclusive mixed-use urban destinations around the world and have incorporated the finest planning, services and amenities from many of them. One Scottsdale will take that imagination and ground it firmly in Arizona soil, he said. One Scottsdale has been designed to become one of the country s most admired landmarks. Plazas, piazzas, open-air gathering places, curved streets that reveal individually designed storefronts will come together to create the newest destination for Scottsdale s elite to experience the city s finest shopping, dining and cultural entertainment. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2009, One Scottsdale will offer visitors, area residents and seasonal homeowners a collection of high-fashion retail shops and upscale restaurants, boutique class resort hotels, and a diversity of high-income residential housing. When fully completed the community will encompass up to 600,000 square feet of world-class retail shops and up to 15 restaurants offering cuisine prepared by world-renowned chefs and intimate outdoor caf where patrons can sit and enjoy the year-round temperate climate. A total of 1,100 residents will live in chic condominiums and penthouses, with phase one offering just over 250 units. These will be complemented by elegant resort and boutiqueclass hotels featuring 400 rooms and underground parking. An additional 60 acres will be dedicated to mixed-use living, including 55 acres reserved for premier residential living in future phases. Nearly one million square feet of office space will also be built along the southern edge of the community, which will break ground in early 2007.
